Canyoning Day Itinerary
Meet at 10.00 at the clue of RiolanSee access map).
The ABOARD Rafting guide will welcome us and arrange a shuttle service to drop off vehicles at the canyon's finish point.
After handing over your equipment, he will give a briefing on abseiling techniques and canyon safety.
Then, we will undertake an approach walk (15 mins.) to the canyon entrance.
Canyoning in Riolan
The Riolan is a magnificent canyon whose descent is very aquatic, mainly done by swimming through sometimes very narrow meanders opening onto large pools or snaking under large boulders. A good number of jumps (maximum 6m) – optional – and a few abseils (maximum 15m) will punctuate the swimming sections. The canyon is formed in places by impressive limestone walls up to 300m high, and holds the surprise of a slide that is sure to provide thrills!
NB: We are starting the descent of the Riolan from the upper access point to take advantage of the entire route, well above the old Roman bridge, from where shorter descents depart...

- Due to the long stretches of swimming, being able to swim and being in good physical condition are essential.

- The activity is dependent on weather conditions. In the event of rain, the water level in the canyon can rise rapidly. Therefore, ABOARD Rafting reserves the right to cancel excursions due to adverse weather.
